Engineering Innovation
The King Khaled Road Diversion demanded bold engineering and construction ingenuity. UNIMAC pioneered the first ever precast arch installation under a live KSA highway, setting a record by installing 92 units in only ten days. All works—two new 46-meter underpasses, over 2 kilometers of 8–10 meter high MSE retaining walls, and a new local access bridge—were delivered using innovative prefabrication, strict safety standards, and rapid-fire scheduling to keep the city moving.
Accelerated Construction & Safety
More than a quarter million cubic meters of material was imported and placed in just two months to accelerate the realignment. The team built both 46-meter underpasses in only 45 days, maintaining zero Lost Time Incidents over 1.3 million man-hours. Traffic on King Khaled Road was kept flowing using four well-coordinated detour phases throughout construction.
Improving Riyadh’s Connectivity
This project marks a new standard for Riyadh’s urban infrastructure. UNIMAC’s delivery minimized disruption, improved local mobility, and supported ambitious development goals in Diriyah, ensuring vital connections for residents and businesses in the growing city.
