Roles and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for buildings, bridges, foundations, and other infrastructure projects. Perform detailed calculations for load-bearing capacity, stability, bending, shear, and stress.
- Prepare structural drawings, calculations, and technical reports.
- Monitor and inspect ongoing construction to ensure it follows design specifications.
- Resolve on-site structural issues and adapt designs if needed.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant building codes, industry standards, and safety regulations
- Review and approve contractor submittals, shop drawings, and structural modifications.
- Prepare and review method statement for construction activities, review material submittals for compliance with project specifications.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineering (PE or SE) license [or working toward licensure].
- Proven experience (6+ years) in structural design and analysis.
- Proficiency with structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, Revit).
- Very Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with BIM tools such as Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
- BIM and interdisciplinary coordination.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
KPIs:
1. Timely Submission and Approval of Shop Drawings
Target: 35-50 drawings per week.
80% accuracy on first submission.
90-100 % comments shall be closed in first resubmission.
90% adherence to deadlines set within the approved project schedule.
90% compliance with project and authority standards, specifications.
Note: Timelines will vary depending on project phase and coordination requirements.
2. Timely Submission and Approval of Method Statement and Material Submittals
Target: 02–04 documents per week.
80% accuracy on first submission.
90-100% comments shall be closed in first resubmission.
The total number of revisions will vary depending on specific project, drawing requirements and design change requests from consultant / client.
